Egg Donation: Is it painful?

Among many problems encountered during fertility investigations, one of the common problems is lack of healthy ovulation pattern in women. Either the cycles are irregular or unovulatory. This obviously affects her ability to conceive. The woman can look forward for medicinal help from the fertility centers to regularize her menstrual cycles and aid healthy ovulation.



However, if the problem of healthy egg still persists, the doctor in charge may advice egg donation program. If you are however a mother already and want to help those women who cannot conceive normally due to egg problems, you can think of becoming an egg donor for them. Definitely, you do not have just monetary intentions but really want to help couples seek pleasure of parenthood. And the latest technological advances have virtually nullified the pain encountered during egg retrieval.

Though pain during egg donation is said to be subjective and varies from person to person, most egg donors nowadays do not experience pain. The stimulation phase of the cycle however may bring some unwanted symptoms like mild headache and bloating sensation, they are rare. During egg retrieval, the donor is given sedation and therefore the pain is not felt. After 24 hours, the donor can start with her regular work. Truly enough, the standard fertility centers make all the experiences unique and pleasurable!
